Schools Curriculum

Education at Riviera School is based on a French-English bilingual program.

Riviera School follows the Swiss Program of Study. Our Curricula are regularly revised and updated. French is the primary language within the school, this ensures that the children within our school can join the current public system in the region if they choose to later. Children who move onto a new school after attending Riviera School, obtain excellent results thanks to the quality of our teaching and learning.

In the Bilingual Section, the academic programme is based on the English National Curriculum. This curriculum is highly regarded worldwide and used by numerous international schools.

Some of our children are of English mother tongue, whilst others arrive with little or no knowledge of English. We are proud of the speed and the quality of the English learnt by our pupils.

The English National Curriculum ensures academic rigour, continuity and transferability. A particular emphasis is placed on the development of creativity within our children.

We combine traditional methods of teaching with new innovative styles. We encourage the children to work in groups and independently and at the same time we support the children in becoming autonomous, responsible and engaged in their work.
