ISM has consciously chosen to follow the English National Curriculum and adapt it to our specific learning environment. The English National Curriculum is well recognised and has been adopted all over the world, including in numerous international schools.
Children who have moved to new countries after leaving ISM have been ahead or on par with their peers through our focused and compassionate yet rigorous teaching and learning.
The English National Curriculum allows strong consistency, continuity and progression in the aims and objectives of teaching and allows for creativity and personalised learning. We support innovation, group work and continuous interaction in the classroom in order for our children to become independent and creative learners.
We are continously adapting and developing our curriculum to link learning, create opportunities for creativity and innovation, build on key skills and foster independence. Much work is being done on building links between History, Geography and Science to create captivating topics or themes.
All our class teachers are qualified to work with the English National Curriculum and receive continued professional development to enable them to excel in their work.
